By virtue of Ordinance of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development as of 26th October 2005 Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Farmers took over, since 1st of July 2006 from the National Animal Breeding Centre:

Milk recording of dairy and dual purpose breeds,
-
Publishing of official milk recording results ,
-
Carrying out the database system corresponding to milk recording ,
-
Balancing needs and production capacity of animal production ,
-
Carrying out professional training for the staff engaged in milk recording and issuing of certifications within this area ,
-
Setting assumption data of national breeding programs,
-
Running a milk-examining laboratories.
